Check out these two great special offers...
East to West
Tour- Friday 24th - Tuesday 28th April 2009
Scotland is spectacular in autumn, the colours of the trees, the
waterfalls, and the heather on the hills, not to mention the traffic free
roads! Why not join me on this fantastic tour from east to west.
Starting at the capital, Edinburgh
we have a day to do the best of the tourist sites which I have personally
tried and tested. Then it’s along the east coast the seaside town of
St Andrews,
very famous in golfing circles. This is where we will be spending the night
in a beautiful hotel to make the most of its lively nightlife and wonderful
sea views.
Day 2 and we will
be travelling west along the beautiful fife roads to what used to be Scotland’s capital city, Perth. A brief stop
here for lunch and a look around this historic and lively city, then
it’s into the rolling hills of Perthshire. I prefer to go off the
beaten track a little to go through some amazing scenery that might
otherwise be missed. Here, in a country hotel amongst the hills is where we
spend our second night to enjoy the hospitality of the rural pubs.
Day 3 includes a
ride along one of the most famous biking roads in Scotland,
through Glencoe, and it’s easy to see why it is so well known. With
sweeping bends, smooth roads and spectacular mountain views, it really is a
bikers dream. There are a couple of great stops along the way before we
reach the west coast and tonight’s stop in Oban. You will be amazed
at how different the west coast is, rolling hills and stretches of sandy
beach are replaced with rugged rocky terrain and scattered islands being
battered by crashing waves. We spend tonight in one of the best hotels in
Oban, a well earned luxury.
Day 4 gives you a
chance to look around Oban with perhaps a little shopping or some
sightseeing. In the afternoon we head down to a wonderful little village
which actually spans two islands. There will be a chance to experience the
west coast from the sea with a very exciting high speed boat trip which is
guaranteed to take your breath away. We will receive a warm welcome at the
local, brand new B&B and a great little pub with it’s own
brewery!
We will be set up for Day 5
with the best Scottish breakfast this side of the border. We finish this
tour in the city of culture, Glasgow a must
see when you come to Scotland
and a good place for us to go our separate ways. After a short guided tour
we say our goodbyes and you are free to visit the city, make your way home
or even make your holiday last a little longer and stay the night.

Long Weekend Friday 24th – Sunday 26th October
2008
If the stresses of everyday life are starting to get to you
then why not treat yourself and get away from it all. This is guaranteed to
be a stress free long weekend on the west coast of Scotland.
Spend your days riding through the unparalleled beauty of the Scottish
highlands and your evenings enjoying the comforts of some wonderful hotels.
(For all you guys out there you could bring the wife and earn yourself some
extra brownie points without any of the organising!).
Meeting at Loch Lomond on the Friday we
will be taking the best roads to make work and everyday worries seem a long
way away. Our first day will take us through some spectacular mountain
scenery past ski slopes, heather clad hills, lochs and waterfalls with a
good chance of seeing wild deer and golden eagles. The bends are sweeping
and the roads are relaxing (even for a pillion) on the whole a real treat.
Tonight we spend the night on the largest island in the Inner Hebrides, the
Isle of Skye and staying in the centre of
this magnificent island in superb luxury. The scenery here is truly
breathtaking with the Cullin
Mountains rising
straight up from the sea, which you are never far away from on Skye. There
are cosy bars to relax in or beautiful scenery to walk in you really can
please yourself in a place like this.
After a fine Scottish breakfast we continue to head north on the main land
along the coastal roads so that you really gat a chance to appreciate Scotland’s
unique west coast. We will see fantastic golden beaches amazing sea lochs
and the quaintest seaside villages while taking in the quiet roads and
serene hills and mountains. W can stop at some of the best places and have
the most relaxing day. To finish off we spend the night near
Ullapool, once again in luxury enjoying home cooked food and wonderful service
and maybe even a drink with the friendly locals.
On our final day we really want it to feel like a Sunday so a nice lie in,
good breakfast and a great afternoon ride south to finish off back down
near Loch Lommond. It will be a nice leisurely ride including a late lunch
and if you like an afternoon stroll in one of my favourite places.
